Director of Investment Research

Job Description

Lead Investment Due Diligence on Hedge Funds, (global macro, commodity and emerging markets);Perform rigorous quantitative analysis of complex subjects, including the portfolio optimization, global macro-economy and capital markets; develop proprietary software for quantitative analysis -proprietary Excel Add-ins, MATLAB programs, and Python programs for internal portfolio analysis, risk management, and proprietary trading; Construct and monitor portfolios; Evaluate performance, risk and exposures of current portfolio; Conduct optimal portfolio construction in MATLAB utilizing non-parametric Monte Carlo simulation, mean-variance and mean-shortfall optimization; Monitor and analyze global economy & capital markets; Maintain ongoing communication with underlying investments through monthly calls and meetings; Conduct quantitative analysis in Bloomberg Terminal and Excel. Write monthly and quarterly commentaries on top-down investment strategies. Build up internal database; update market and industry data.

Skills: Python, MATLAB, C#, MS SQL, Excel, Bloomberg Terminal, Interactive Brokers TWS.

Education: Master of Science in Operations Research.
